Amy's Adventures in Ventura: Buy me a maine coon

I gave the thought in district council and I gave a talk in our spanish branch this week- rawr i VERY MUCH DISLIKE public speaking everytime I'm like ok I'm cool this is fine, then I get up there and my palms get sweaty, knees weak arms spaghetti yk. But my talk was like 11 minutes so ig i did aight.

Went a couple days to Alexis's and helped build a whole booty chicken coop! Let's just say me and hna Wheatley were a bit more efficient than the elders.(they didn't have much mobility in the skinny jeans)

Then we went with Alexis to pick up a free mini cow and once it had drug me and Wheat around the driveway for 20 mins we finally got it loaded the lady was like that'll be $700. Alexis was like uhh you said it was free, and the lady said oh I was prolly drunk, so we just sadly let it out and left lol.

We also met the iconic old man in our area- "Cowboy" once you give him your number it's game over but we learned that too late, basically he's very old school and likes to tell us hermanas to shut our mouth and he thinks it's the funniest thing ever hahah. He's humbling us fr, he told hna Wheat she has a funny voice and that I ask too many questions.

Walking around one night a cat literally jumped out of the sewer right by Hna Wheat who no joke has a cat phobia. She blames that it's because of a Maine Coon that used to roam her neighborhood, i had never heard of them but mom maybe you could buy one for me when I get home? (see picture)

We had a ton of faith in this dude jose but then he kept bailing and one night his friend said he was at work but Wheat saw him around the corner at the dinner table, so we walking back to our car like dang, we were about to pull away then this white dude waves us down and he's like yo yo you guys were talking about God back there, can you like enlighten me about him? So now we're teaching him! Funny because his name is Joseph (english name of Jose) so basically Jose was walmart version of Joseph.

Also pray for our sweet member Vanessa- her mom fell in a sewer and hurt her arm pretty bad, and her dad has cancer so she dropped out of high school to work 2 jobs. We felt like we needed to go visit her and brought her cookies and she said she was so glad we came because she was about to have an anxiety attack but we brought some light into her home aw.

Is there anyone you can think of to drop by their house this week? Even if you take them burnt toll house cookies, they'll love it.

I didn't have much of a testimony of the Book of Mormon before bc it was a lot of big boy words and I didn't really know the people/ stories. SO i've been reading the kids book of mormon stories and was like oh wow, the people in this book really show over and over that if we repent, and have faith, God will always be graceful and bless us, once I finished them I prayed about it (Moroni 10:3-5, read it, ponder it in your heart, pray with a sincere heart and real intent to know if it's true). I had kinda half-heartedly done this in the past a few times and got no answer, but this time it felt so right in my heart. That visit from the Holy Ghost even made me cry a little tear hehe (picture). So, if you kinda feel like you're in a rut with your scripture reading, read the kids scripture stories! It's got dope pictures and it's much more simplified. I actually know what the heck a "anti lehi nephi" is now.
