Piano Lessons with Brad

 Hey fogies!

- went on exchanges with ma girl sis nielson, english work is in fact scary. Almost everyone was grumpy! But that night we had a sick lesson with Jim where after we sat in the chapel while a sister played Be Still my Soul on the piano and I def has some tears roll down my cheeks

- our recent convert Alejandro called us up bc his family was having a rough time since his brother had been in jail. We went over and had a bomb lesson about Christ and His Atonement. Nothing brings the spirit like talking about Christ. I was this close πŸ€ to putting them on date but kinda chickened out. BUt they all came to church on sunday!!

- invited Adrian to be baptized and he said hes still not sure, he's been taught everything so the spirit will hopefully be working on him.

- exchanges again but w sis anderson and i gave bad directions to the bathroom so she ended up peeing her pantsπŸ’€ I felt so bad haha!

- ok the piano apology (analogy) in the talk "His Grace is Sufficient" by Brad Willcox is so cool. When our moms pay for our lessons, she wants us to practice right. When we practice, it doesn't pay back our mom, but it makes her happy to see the gift she's given us; used.
- Same thing with the atonement. Practicing repentance is how we show our appreciation for Jesus Christ's wonderful gift. But a lot of times when we play the piano, we hit the wrong notes and mess up! So when we hit the wrong notes are we no longer worthy to play? Of course not, we aren't expected to be flawless, just that we keep trying! So why is this perspective so easy to see with the concept of learning how to play the piano but so hard to see in the concept of repentance?
- SO I invite you all to remember the clean slate Jesus gives us over and over again, as long as we are practicing His gift.

Hugs and kisses

Fried pork for breakfast, pork skins for dinnerπŸ·πŸ½πŸ–

We visited our friend Annie who just had her baby and dined with them for a Peruvian breakfast of rice potatoes and fried porkπŸ˜‹

- on the finding grind, but everyone decided to be catholic this week and not want to listen. At least theyre nice catholics :)

- We got to greet for stake conference and it was so fun to be around white people who go "ooh sisters!! We wish we had sisters in our ward" haha

- having only 4 months left doesnt feel real. At all. So I'm just not gonna accept it yet hehe

- had a member meal with the Villafuertes and a bunch of elders. Good food, good chattin, and good cryin as the parents shared their beautiful conversion stories. With all the rejection this week I started doubting myself as a missionary and kept wondering if what I was doing was wrong or not good enough. But in bro villafuertes story and a convert at stake conf, they said it wasn't what the missionary said that made them invite them in, it was the spirit that told them to invite them in. So it just reminds me that Satan loveees making us feel inadequate. Any of those thoughts come from him. but God gives us reminders through little angels that we are important and good enough. He knew I needed to hear that and 2 people witnessed it to me.

I love you all
Hugs and kisses,
Hermana jπŸ˜šπŸ«‚

Sippin starbucks feeling lovely 🍾

 Hey folks!

So quick update from the last 2 weeks:

Remember the hard hearted Lupillo who was on date? He decided to change his
date to be 2 weeks earlier, so hermana bradford and the elders were able to be there! He's gone through like 20 missionaries but it was finally his time. He was bursting with joy after and kept dancing haha so exciting for him.

- hermana Bradford's mission came to an end so dropped her off at the mission officeπŸ₯² she helped me so much with my spanish, showed me the good drinks at starbucks, she built me up, and taught me how to better help others. I already miss you la vaquera guera.

- I spent 2 days in Ventura with my sister- hermana ellison (my trainers other trainee) because her comp went home too!

There so happened to be a baptism in their area I got to be there for and he was sooo nervous but we were able to talk through his anxiety and everything ended up being perfect for Manuel:)

- we had transfers and im staying for a 4th in simi valley. I'm chill with it bc I love the branch and area, but I'll be ready to be outta here soon... my new comp is hermana Blake! She came out 2 transfers before me and has such a fun personality. I'm learning to love hearing about dungeons and dragons, cosplay, and fairies. I'm grateful for different companions bc heck, if they were all like me what fun would that be?? I've now had 2 comps from Idaho, 2 from Texas, and 2 from Nevada. I lowkey hope to make it through not having one from Utah

Thanks for reading my email and caring to hear about my life:) hugs and kisses πŸ˜˜πŸ«‚
