This week felt like 17 years. Alexis is in Utah so I didn't get to hang with bff roami
idk who I am without her.
One night hna Wheat was getting ready for bed and asked if I was writing in my journal, I said no I'm just on my phone. But she heard "no im writing a poem" lol so i was like hm maybe I should. So i dropped some bars and I've now written a personal poem for everyone in our testosterzone! (Our whole zone is elders)
Lesson with MartΓn and his cousin Octavio from mexico city- we talked about temples and eternal families- both super important things for me and Wheat! This was the first lesson I got emotional, i was talking about how much i miss my family but that im glad i get to teach them that their families can be together forever and ever.
We showed them the Rome temple tour and they were so wowed by it. Octavio is super catholic but is so interested and wants to go to the mexico city temple visitor center. We're hoping to fix MartΓn's focus on the temple so he can see baptism as a step to going to the temple.
I have such a special place in my heart for the members in our small branch. I taught Adrian how to read the hymn book and he was so proud of himself. Rodrigos grandma Gloria always hugs us and says "Let God bless you and be with you this week". Then we always have dinner w the Gonzalez's Sunday night and we had a talent show with the girls, me and indie made up a cute little dance.
Idk if Bill Carpenters conversion story is super well known but wow it's amazing. It's too big to attach but look it up (especially of you're thinking about serving a mission or serving one right now). I loved the part that he says-
"Wherever we are, we are there to teach those certain people, we are there for them. They need to hear our personal testimony that they need at that time. Then we have to leave and be there for those other certain people that need us."
That doesn't only go for missions but also for life in general, all the people who are in your life are there for a reason (wether its your bestie or a friend/ coworker who's difficult to be around) they need to learn something from you and most times you need to learn something from them too. And when we're separated from those people it can be hard! But theres other people we need to be there for and God knows exactly who they are and His timing is oh so perfect.
Hugs and kisses
