I love cats🀭🐈‍⬛️😽

I was quite sick this week so one day I downed some dayquil then I was out on the floor in the family history center for 2 hours lol whoops!

At the homeless shelter usually we just stay at our stations handing food out but this week i helped this sweet woman Lila carry her box to her car- she said she lives under the bridge which just broke my heart! But after we got to her car she gave me a hug with tears in her eyes and i felt such a connection to her, maybe we knew each other in the prelife.
Then after I returned, Ruben who's one of our dawgs at service asked if I'd go pray with him for this lady with demons or schizophrenia or something. So we gathered some cash and went over and told her how God loved her and she calmed down and had the light come back in her eyes for a second. It's so cool how just talking about God to someone can bring them the spirit so fast.

I dont know if its just because its the last week of the transfer or if its the fact that i havent had a comp younger than me in the mission. Dont get me wrong Hermana Lambert has been so very pleasant and fun to be with. But she very much likes her comfort bubble so i think im ready to spread my wings and be senior comp haha! Kinda bittersweet because not only is Hna Lamby going home, but the rest of my comps here are leaving too- hermana blake and morganπŸ₯²

This week in the chosen there was a scene that totally opened my eyes about the atonement!! Mary magdelene had gone back to her old habits, and came back feeling so ashamed. Jesus redeemed her once before and she threw it all away and knew she couldn't repay Him. And it's true, we cant repay Him. We cant live up to what He did for us, but we don't have to. Read that again- we dont have to, because he is so full of mercy. He and Heavenly Father just want our heart, and our desire to be better, and the rest comes in time. That is how the gospel brings beauty and transformation.

Hearts and kisses and love

Mark came to visit! 🀭 (as in Mark A. Bragg - area president)

 - had exchanges with an English sister in Ventura and we pulled weeds for this member who's really old. She comes out in her bathrobe to say hi and falls and hits her head oh no! So some of us go in and clean her up, then me and sis mccollough helped her get dressed and shes was sooo funny being all worried about her hair and makeup and how she looked so it took an hour before we could get her out to the ERπŸ˜‚ bless Polly's heart, and she's ok!

- found this sickkkk dude at the park named Junior and he was really down to earth and open to listening. We had a lovely conversation, people like that make dealing with all the other people worth it!

- mission tour in Santa Barbara! Elder Bragg (Christlike poise dude) and his wife came. It was with the north half of the mission and it was so fun to see some missionary friendsπŸ₯² super powerful meeting!

- on Saturday the spanish elders had a baptism and 4 of our friends came! One of them was Angela who we had just had an amazing lesson with an hour before. Angela texted us before and expressed she has different beliefs and she doesn't wanna join our church, but that we could still come over. So we talked and cleared up her doubts, then we had a bombbb restoration lesson and the mom Vicki who was taught in mexico a while ago already had a huge testimony of Joseph Smith. We watched the first vision video and Angela was like wait can we finish it?? We were like yea and theres a full movie of it, and she was like cool im gonna watch it. Then hermana Lamby bore an awesome testimony of the church and the bom and angela fell in love with the bom too. Nice.

- made a teir list of the apostles hair. Elder uchtdorf you won buddy

- a big theme of mission tour was "your mission is to bless." At the end of the day we shouldnt be focused on how many people can we talk to today, it should be how many people can we bless today. We should be living Christ's doctrine not just teaching it. Then an elder dropped a fire one liner- "If its something the Savior would do its something worth doing." Remember that this week! #WWJD (what would Jesus Do) #HWLF (He would love first)

Hugs and loves. πŸ«‚πŸ’š

See you in heck girls

- sports night went even crazier this week. I play in my dress and doc martens right, well we played for like 2 hours and after I could barely walk with all my new blisters hehπŸ˜…

- but after we went to a taco truck and we talked to this dude who was super spiritual and telling me about the atonement, he started crying and it was this beautiful moment lol. So I asked for his number but he said he was homeless and asked where we were going after... so i was hmm sus, we're gonna go home after.. and he was like no follow me to the Guadalupe virgin church and you can meet Jesus in person.

- had mashed potato quesadillas at a member meal... interesting

- at interviews pres told me I will in fact be going home my original date in August instead of a transfer early in July. Apparently the missionary department is cracking down and not making many exceptions. Sooo see yall August 21st🫑 I'm ok with it tho, It's def meant to be ill have another transfer in the field for growing.

- Thursday had a much needed exchange with my girl Van Brocky and we went ham! Met some really cool and prepared ppl. This one house we said we were looking for a Maria (we weren't, just a smooth way to enter a convo lol) but the dude was like yea she lives around the back! So we were like ok! Knocked her door, and she invited us in! She starting talking about her life, how her husband had a stroke last summer, and in the past couple of years her 2 sons have died. She broke down and van brocky went over and hugged her and we had a really good chat about the atonement and the plan of salvation. So cool how God led us to her!

- me and van brocky also filmed a pretty big ad for our mission page.. luckily so far so good other than a dude commenting "see you in hell girls" hahah. Our mission budget is at 12k for ads so they can put about $100 a day into ours. Crazyyy

-At service this week tried looking at the people there through the eyes of God. Praying to feel the love for them that He has for them, and also just remembering that they are a child of God. It sounds basic bc we've heard that so many times but I was just really thinking like God is their father too? God loves them unconditionally? Nice, I can too

Con mucho cariño🫢

πŸ₯•πŸžπŸ₯•πŸ₯―πŸ₯•πŸ₯–

after sports night we went to a taco truck with some members/ friends and this one guy there was like ooh sisters! He had met with missionaries like 7 years ago and gave us his mom's info since she's been super lonely. Milagrito

- member visit with our girl Corrine again. She reminds me of my granny and we hold hands during the prayerπŸ₯Ή

- everyone decided to be stubborn catholics again this week

- a scene from The Chosen hit hard this week. Nathaneal a future apostle is under a fig tree having a hard moment and calling out to God. Later his friend Philip introduces him to Jesus and is like this is the Messiah, but Nathaneal doesn't beleive it. Jesus is like ah yes Nathaneal, you have very honest intents. So Nathanel is like how do you know me and Jesus is like I saw you under the fig tree. At that moment Nathanael recognizes that Jesus could see into his heart.
We've all had those moments alone crying out and waiting to get an answer from God, but sometimes we just have to trust that he is there. Hes with us, watching us, and can see into our hearts. πŸ’™
