Bombs away

Last week at the mtc, Monday at 3am I fly to California! I'm so glad I'm being transported out of this dummy dumb utah weather. Nonetheless I'm so grateful for every experience here

The bathrooms in our class buildings are layed out where there's some stalls right when you walk in or you walk to the back and there's more. In our trio we figured out that if one of us is walking to the back.. they're about to bomb the place and to get out fast. But don't blame us, this week from our beloved mothers we got crumbl, donuts, brownies, and cinnamon rolls. Live laugh love

Last pday we went to the temple for a session (is it bad to sleep during those?) After, in the celestial room, i was thinking about my family. I even started crying, not bc I miss them but bc my love for them has grown so much since being away from them. Shoutout to the jerman crew

Here's a link about how to get more out of general conference. I feel like I always get inspired and everything, then I forget about absolutley everything that was said and move on with my life. But i think making one goal to apply a principle or quote in your life could make a big difference. https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/liahona/2018/03/5-steps-for-making-conference-stay-with-you?lang=eng

We sang this super pretty song in the choir this week, the lyrics were something like "Jesus will carry you in His arms and quiet all your fears." Take a second to picture Jesus carrying you in his arms. It's so bittersweet bc that's basically what he does for us when we're struggling and we reach up to Him.

Email me a picture from this week that made you happy!! (don't click "reply all" hehe, just the "reply" button)

Church floor gone soggy from tears

This week was a lot of goodbyes to the sisters in the zone when we first got here and to some of my homie elders. Also for anyone who's ever been confused about the titles- district is your small group and your zone/ branch is the same thing and has multiple districts in it. All that was news to me:D

The days are getting a tad bit repetitive but me and my compas spice it up by staying up till 11:30 giggling🫣(girls will be girls)

If you feel like your knowledge is shallow in any gospel principles- read preach my gospel! Holy it has cleared up so many of my little questions I've always had especially about the plan of salvation.

Sunday our branch president told this story he had actually witnessed about these parents who lost their son. It had everyone in tears. It was a room full of adults, elders, and sisters absolutely sobbing and sniffling. And ofc the closing hym was God be with You till we Meet Again. I was supposed to say the closing prayer and totally forgot bc I was in my feels so there was a moment of panic that no one got asked hahah. (The story was talked about in this general conf talk about Ted and sharon, such a good read-) Love One Another as He Has Loved Us https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/general-conference/2017/10/love-one-another-as-he-has-loved-us?lang=eng

The wife of a couselor in our branch presidency came one night to visit us (sister mitten) she said something rlly cool- when theres people who you're quick to judge, remember that God has just as much love for that person, that he has for you. I started to look back on the times ive felt Gods love for me and thought about how he loves everyone with that same amount of love PLUS MORE. I felt the spirit confirm it was true. Who's someone in your life that's a bit harder for you to love, that you could think about this for?

I survive off cereal

Here is Amy's 1st missionary letter!  Her email address is amy.jerman@missionary.org

She seems to be having a GRAND time.  She has been able to call twice but only for 5 minutes a piece as she is hustling off to her next class. At least we know she is busy and happy. :)

Hola Hola
Welcome everyone to hermana jerman.

So I did 2 weeks of "AHome MTC" (8+ hours of zoom everyday booo but it was nice to ease into) Ive been at the Provo mtc for a week and a 1/2 now and I love it! Not to be the cliche overestatic missionary but February and march is the happiest ive been in a while. The 2 best parts of the MTC- it's so easy to feel the spirit here and I'm constantly surrounded by happy people (missionaries) (aka bots). My district is one of the smallest here. It's just a pair of elders and me and my trio and we're all supa tight. One of my sisters is tongan and has me crackin up daily, the other one is just white but is my soul sista.

So I ate costa vida for dinner and lunch  right before I came to the mtc (which equals mexican food toots) and man. From 2pm- bed i had to hold those babies in to the point that my toes were curling.

Meals are my favorite part of the day bc of our arm wrestles and our district convos about random stuff.  The food is pretty good but I always gravitate to the cereal...no whipped cream here for me to put on top tho:(

Tuesday night we had Elder Cook here for a devo and I was in the choir soooo I sang to an apostle and we made eye contact. His talk was was so powerful tho and he straight up said that He's seen the face of the Savior and heard His voice. I am learning soo much here and my testimony of the Savior and that He absolutely lives is growing a ton.

Warmest regards,

Herman Jerman (Is this her nickname!?!  If not, it's still a funny one)
