AI Jesus

 

So a couple weeks ago I got some warts frozen off the bottom of my feet, which was just straight pain. One of them got infected and now half that toe has been numb ever since. Its quite sensational. 

Then Saturday morning I felt nauseous right, so i chowed down on some cocoa pebbles super quick hoping thatd help.. then it all came back up and i was sick as a dog with the flu all day, then we went to a visit that night with this dude who has memory issues and it all felt like a fever dream. My new district leader brought me a frick ton of Gatorade and chicken noodle soup though so I was covered.

Sunday after church me and H morgan played a mad game of monkey in the middle with Aurora Jr and me and morgy both full body dived (I think that makes sense) onto a bush right next to Aurora the mom (who we're teaching) and she said something like oh jeepers! In spanish 

In one of my personal studies this week I was reading 1 Nephi 11 where an angel is showing Nephi a vision about Jesus Christ. The angel shows him the "condescension" of God and then Bruce R McConkie explains it beautifully so I'll just put that here- 

"When the Book of Mormon was translated, the English word condescension meant voluntary descent from rank or dignity in behalf of granting requests or performing acts. Nephi was shown how the Savior voluntarily descended from His position of superior dignity, submitted to the will of His Father as well as the designs of evil men, and performed merciful acts for the benefit of all people. Though Jesus Christ himself is the Lord Omnipotent, the very Being who created the earth and all things that are in it, He was born of a mortal woman, submitted to all the trials of mortality, then was finally put to death in a most ignominious manner." 

So- Jesus Christ voluntarily descended from His glory to the Earth, then descended below all things. I know that He was the only one who could've done that for us, and that He is the only one who can truly lift us up in these last days. 

I hope that increases your gratitude for the Savior today, if you aren't doing anything that gets you closer to Him day by day- here are some things that have helped me. Put your energy into loving him and thanking Him for all He has done for you, read His words and apply them to your life, and look for the good things He puts into your life especially on the hard days.
