This week we got to go up to Ojai for a pass off lesson with the elders and they have a frozen yogurt place there called Bliss that everyone in the mission raves about. Valid, it was bomb and missionaries get free
I woke up from a nap and accidentally microwaved a trader Joe's frozen bag of food that must've been lined with tinfoil stuff- so that caught on fire and we started to panick but luckily my 8th grade FACS class reminded me to throw a wet rag on it and all was good
Serving at foodshare Ted brought pickles and Kool aid for us to try- gross. Then an elder dumped the whole packet of kool-aid powder in my mouth and for the rest of the day whenever I drank water it turned into kool-aid down my throat. 
Thank you for all your prayers for angela and vicky bc we put them on date for next week!! Before the lesson even started Vicki asked how she can start preparing to be baptized, she so cool. The only thing is her boyfriend lives with her but she said she'll kick him out if he doesnt wanna get married or baptized. Then she was expressing her gratitude for angela and how she has such good desires for life and sweet quiet angela started tearing up then vicki too and it was a really sweet daughter mom moment. Im SO HAPPY FOR THEM. so much joy.
Today we were gonna go on a hike for district activity but the road to get there was closed. Now this hike meant a LOT to hermana nelson- she had been super excited for it. None of the elders wanted to and started to leave but I knew it was important to her so I said I'd go up with her. It was a couple hours of walking in the hot sun but it was worth it because she really appreciated it.
On the way back it just rang true that love is sacrifice. If you love someone you will sacrifice any and everything for them to show your love, just like the Savior did for us. In some talk somewhere it says how we were prolly the Saviors motivation- when he was feeling that incomprehensible pain, we were in His mind and He kept pushing through because He was doing it for us. If this week youre doing something for someone you maybe don't wanna do- think about your love for them or the love the Savior has for them. I promise it will make things easier!
