Well folks we reached the end of that long 7 week transfer, bye bye hermana stubbs and now I'm in San Luis Obispo (SLO), 30 minutes south of where i was! So same zone, different district and me and my new comp Hermana Morgan pink washed the area (replaced the elders). So neither of us knew anyone and the elders notes of all the people are just context clues of where they live, so weve been trying to piece that all together.
Im glad last transfer is over, not gonna lie I started it kinda stubborn abt obedience because of the way it was enforced on me- and I'm still accepting that maybe its not that bad
but as I continue on my mission it'll start to become my own desire and to show my love to God
Highlights of last week in Paso
-There's a lady in the ward, hermana delbar and oh how i love her. She reminds me of kaleen (my mom) so much in the way she interacts with people, her laugh, her hair, and her personality. I miss you mom!
-we met this dude luis and gave him a book of mormon, called him the next day and he said he'd read it for 4 hrs already- from the beginning to freaking ALMAAA. I dont think ive read 4 hours in my whole life (joke)
- we went and visited this old lady in our ward at her nursing home and when she saw us she lit up so bright
Highlights of this week
- the first day together me and hermana morgan got to english class early so we just sat in the car, closed our eyes, and listened to the rain. I was shocked that we could just have a moment of stillness. So beautiful
-it was stake conference so I got to see a lot of members and friends from my last area! I gave roami our bff necklace and she told me- "wear it forever, and even at night when you sleep ok?"
ok roami
- I became head of content for our mission! So I'm basically over our social media pages
-got fed a huge meal and then had the best homemade horchata. The feeling of being full yet still downing a cup of that stuff brought me back to the long hours spent in costa vida
-me and Hna Morgan have been so clueless this week but its been so full of joy. Shes from texas and has the biggest laugh and and such a good soul. We have deep convos and relate about a lot so i have a such soft place for her already. AND SHE LIKES WHIPPED CREAM AND BARBIE so we listen to barbie musiccc

(Back in paso)
- my cool big sis Al texted me about how reading her patriarchal blessing and getting priesthood blessings helped her through her mission. So I read my patriarchal blessing and it said something about the priesthood in it so i finally took it as a sign to get a blessing. I'd thought abt asking for one before but for some reason kinda felt scared/ embarrassed. (Satan)
So I got one the last week of the transfer and WOWWW priesthood is so cool!! I felt this presence of power as all the elders surrounded me and I felt Gods love so strong and an assurance of my worth. Elder brian told me God is excited to continue helping me throughout my mission which reminded me of something my brother zac said in the blessing he gave me- that heavenly father was happy to have this special chance to be able to mold me into the person that im meant to be.
God is happy and excited to help us and mold us.
The last 4 days of the transfer after that blessing were a game changer, i was doing so much mentally better. PRIESTHOOD POWER BABY
So if your patriarchal blessing is getting dusty pull that out and read it tomorrow, wow those are cool.
Hugs and kisses
